We believe everyone can “Find Their Fit in Foster Care.” There are so many ways to help and support children in foster care and their families.

Ways you can support children in foster care:

  • Make a Cherish Box!

    • Cherish Boxes are small boxes packed with comfort items to help a child during the oftentimes traumatic transition into the foster care system. You can pick up a box and packing list in the Welcome Center at church or pick up your own box at Michael's or Hobby Lobby and print out the packing list.

  • Help prevent children from entering the foster care system by becoming a Safe Families Volunteer.

    • Safe Families trains volunteers to support families in crisis through hosting children in their home, coaching parents, and providing practical support.

  • Become a Resource Family (new term for Foster Family) through the County or a private foster care agency (new term for foster parents)

  • CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)

    • Become a legal advocate on behalf of a child in foster care who needs someone to speak up for them!

  • Join Royal Family Kids Camp in putting on a week-long summer camp in the Santa Cruz mountains for children in foster care ages 7-11!

  • Engage Your Business

    • Offer free or discounted services to foster families

    • Contact the County or a Foster Care Agency about placing foster care materials in your lobby or workspace to raise awareness for children in foster care.
