Women's Ministry Calvary Monterey 2012 -- A Year of Mentoring!

The Women’s Ministry of Calvary Monterey exists for God’s glory and to edify and exhort the women in our Body to be all that they can be in Him and for Him. Colossians 1: 16-17 tells us that everything is for the Lord and that things “hold together” in Him. So, it is our desire to disciple women in drawing close to Jesus through the study of His Word and prayer so that they can lead cohesive lives that give God glory and become a blessing to their families, churches and communities.

Bible Study:

Ephesians 1: 3 and II Peter 1: 3 are similar verses which remind us that we have been provided with everything we need to live Godly lives in Christ Jesus. To that end, we have as the centerpiece of our Women’s Ministry, Women’s Tuesday Bible Studies. We meet in the Video Sanctuary on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM and every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM in a Semester format. Women’s Bible Study is generally in session in winter and summer. We have Women’s Bible Study in January and February and then again June –August. Childcare is provided for children up to age 12 for the morning study only. We teach through various books of the Bible, but not in consecutive order. Please check with Denise for times when we are not meeting.

Mentoring:

Our new Mentoring Ministry is up and running. If you have been walking with the Lord for a while and you feel that it is time for you to go a step deeper, you may benefit from having a spiritual mentor. You can inquire about finding a mentor by contacting Denise Buck at denise@calvary.com or call her at 831-649-1158, ext. 16; or just stop by the church office and pick up a Mentoring Ministry application (online version here) and bring it back the next time you are at Church. We will call you back and prayerfully match you up with one of the Calvary women who have been prepared to serve as Mentors.

Biblical Counseling:

If you are in a crisis or have a major life decision to make, or are just seeking to walk with God in a deeper measure God would want you to seek Godly counsel (Proverbs 15: 22). Biblical counseling is offered for women through the church offices or you can call Denise Buck directly at 831-649-1158, ext. 16, leave a message and she will call you back to set an appointment for you.
